Deacon started his first business in 1969. At first it was V/W dune buggies, he was only 15 or 16 at the time. Later he built the world’s fastest V/W, it ran a 9.6 at 156 mph back in the 80’s; he was in the magazines a lot during that time. He started building bikes regularly around 1994 in the Santa Cruz area.
